  As part of an experimental project for the Aerospace/Science industry, TCS Industries manufactures this Laboratory Chassis /Vacuum Brazed Assembly.  The unit’s ultimate destination is the International Space Station and the analysis of tissue samples in zero gravity. It was important to the design that flux (brazing salts) not be used so that no possibility of chloride contamination would ever exist. The chassis consists of over 30 separate pieces manufactured from 6061-T6 aluminum and machined to tolerances as tight as .002.  All thirty two of the Chassis components are put through a thorough cleaning process prior to Aluminum Vacuum Brazing. All items manufactured meet the following brazing specifications: AWS C3.7M / C3.7:2011, AWS C3.2M / 3.2:2008, AWS B2.2 / B2.2 2010,  AMS 2750 and Mil-B-7883.  The final products are finished in Yellow Chromate Mil-DTL-5541 in adherence to the customers design schedule. Finally the interlocking chassis covers are fastened to the frame using conductive epoxy.
